"One by One," a song written across three different countries, in two different languages, is a tale of migration, hope, and sunflowers. Traveling through her father's home country as a teenager, Amanda Pascali was struck by the expansive fields of sunflowers, all turning to face the sun (light), just as humans do. It was this light that led her parents and many other immigrants to the U.S. for a better life.
“One of Texas’s most promising young songwriters”
“The lyrics are the best part; a poem that weaves storytelling in English with age-old Italian proverbs”
